I know that there will be those who disagree with me, but ok. I personally do not believe that another person can “motivate” you to do anything. You must find motivation within “YOU.” Yes, there are people, places and things that can “inspire” you but unless you have the motivational fire inside, that inspiration may die along with you. Life will present to you people and things that can inspire you to become better. Life will offer opportunities for you to move on to the next level on your journey. But only YOU can decide to take advantage of those opportunities and journey on to your NEXT! I highly suggest that you use the motivation from within and become what has inspired you as you inspire others. MOVING ON TO MY NEXT ~ JGM
Life is full of tragedies. There are murdered dreams, unfulfilled goals and multiple losses. That’s life. However, I have learned that your attitude and level of expectancy greatly affect your life’s journey. One day I was pondering all of the “negative” things that were occurring in my life. I was involved in a conversation with someone about it and I heard in my Spirit, “Tell the OTHER story.” I immediately stopped talking and began to think about all of the “positive” things that were occurring. All of the things that I was obligated to be thankful for. If you make a conscious choice to TELL THE OTHER STORY, I guarantee you will find that you have so much greatness to share. My father, the late Apostle James F. Greene used to say, “change ain’t change until you change!” While change is imperative for a successful journey, it will only work if you work it. What I have learned is that I AM the change that I am looking for. When I change, everything and everyone around me changes. As I change, I recognize the people, places and things that I must disconnect and connect with. I highly recommend that you so the same! Loving you to LIFE! ~ JGM
One of the greatest sources of frustration for us comes from working about TOMORROW. While it is important that we have goals, visions and dreams, it is also important to enjoy TODAY and all of the blessings that come with it. Be sure to take a moment to just inhale and exhale. Just BE without concern for what comes next. You were blessed with THIS day…..enjoy its awesomeness. Loving you to LIFE! ~ JGM
This Mother’s Day will be the 2nd that I go through without my Mother. My Mom, the late Rev. Dr. Essie C. Greene, transitioned to her heavenly home on March 14, 2011, just 3 months and 3 days after my Daddy transitioned. Needless to say, these have been very difficult days. This particular weekend is extremely difficult for me as a daughter. So, I am trying to focus on me, the mother and grandmother. Although MY mother is not here physically, she left a legacy for us that is incomparable. I thank God for the privilege and honor of having her as a Mother. She touched and enchanced the lives of everyone she met. I pray that when I am gone, my children and grandchildren will say the same of me. I don’t know if I will ever get “over” the loss, but I am praying that the void will become less painful. To those of you who have also lost your mother, I say, stand strong and endure this process. Don’t allow ANYONE to push you through it. Each stage of the process has a purpose. We WILL be OK. Peace & Blessings to YOU! ~ JGM
