VALUING YOUR JOURNEY

Too many of us focus only on the “destination.”  I am convinced that the “journey” is just as important because it is while on “the journey” that your determination to arrive at the destination is tested and proven.  It is imperative that we fully appreciate the value of our journey and all that entails.  Each step, stage and phase provides specific lessons and teachable moments.  We must be sure to learn and apply them in order to guarantee safe arrival at the destination.  Even the words we speak must value our journey.  Be careful to speak over your journey, exactly what God speaks!

“HELP, I DON’T LIKE MYSELF!” ~ Excerpt~ THE CONCLUSION

“Then shall thy light break forth as the morning…”  Isaiah 58:8  For many years I have received compliments regarding my writing.  Since childhood, writing has been my passion.  I have been employed to write, sermons, design workbooks and business forms, write song lyrics, plays, etc.  I love to do it. Reading is also another passion of mine.  I have found that these moments spent alone are a must for my continued healing.  During these moments, I concentrate on me, myself and I.  I encourage you to do the same as you come to love yourself more.  You must learn to like and love yourself.  Enjoy YOUR presence.  I have humbled myself to be open and real with you about my journey so that I may help you as you travel on yours.  I am breaking forth as a mighty river.  I am expanding, nourshing and bringing forth life everywhere I go.  I have committed to dying empty because I do not want to take any of my gifts with me.  When it is my time to transition, I want to have given to YOU all that was given to ME.  I have arrived at this place where I freely love and I am loved.  I value and I am valued.  I am indebted to reach behind me and pull someone else along.  Today that someone is YOU.  So, are you ready?  Then, LET’S GO……

“HELP, I DON’T LIKE MYSELF!” – Excerpt – YOUR STRENGTH IS IN YOUR ROOTS

“If you don’t know where you’ve come from, you won’t know where you’re going.”  Daily I am reminded of the powerful and strong roots from which I come.  Both naturally and spiritually I house within myself a greatness, simply because of my lineage.  I spring forth from unshakeable warriors, unselfish givers and devoted personalities.  I come from a long line of singers, musicians, authors, preachers, motivational speakers, etc.  At those seasons in my life when I feel overwhelmed and inadequate, I pull on the strength of my roots to propel me further toward the fulfillment of my destiny.  My roots consists of trailblazers and pioneers who were establishing and founding businesses and ministries even before the world was ready for them.  My roots determined to BE the change that they wanted to see.  I am eternally connected to people who have battled and won.  Today I stand on their shoulders and look over into the Promised Land that lies before me.  Yes I may bend, but I cannot break, MY ROOTS ARE TOO STRONG!
